Laser Cut Feature Options
After nearly twenty years in the laser scribing and drilling business, we have seen a number of innovative laser cut patterns effectively used to solve common hybrid circuit problems. Perhaps you can use one of these ideas on your next circuit design:
Hold in Tabs
• hold together an array of complex shapes
Shared Holes
• print through hole wrap-arounds with the economy of half the holes
Snap Away Borders
• keep smudges from handling off the part to be used
• print conductors on border for snap away test connections
Alignment Holes
• use precision holes rather than substrate edge for front to back registration
Machined Flats
• offer more accurate alignment with a three pin alignment system
Optical Alignment
• Optically aligning laser drilled holes and scribe lines to printed circuitry
offers ±.001" (25.4um) placement tolerance in relation to circuitry.
